Petra Gallasch

Petra Gallasch is the co-founder of THE STUDIO-INTERNATIONAL FILM ACTORS' TRAINING. She was trained and worked as an actress in Germany, Washington D.C., New York and Los Angeles since 1984. In 1988 she had the idea for a film acting school and co-founded Hollywood Acting Workshop (HAW) in 1992. As an artistic director of HAW she was instrumental in setting up international cooperations with schools and institutions. Under her guidance more than 900 actors from all over the world have been trained. She has also studied Journalism and Screenwriting at UCLA and AFI. In 1996 she co-founded the Production Company Capture Film Inc. which she left in 2003. She has taught Sense Memory for Film, Scene Preparation for Film and Script Analysis in the USA and Europe. She is the author of the best-selling book: Close up: Filmschauspiel published in 2002 and is currently working on several other book and film projects.
